For MQBMBQ’s Black Jigsaw Project, Painter Kwesi Botchway interprets Black Queer Identity with a striking portrait of a young Black man whose emotional world is portrayed through the meticulous use of a mixture of vibrant and sober colours, while his personality is curated in detail with pieces from GUCCI’s Epilogue collection, creating a world that comes together just as easily as it breaks a part with the composition of a puzzle. 

 

Details 

The puzzle is composed of 384 pieces, its final size is A3 - 29.7 x 42 cm 

It comes encased in a specially designed box created by artist Cary Fagan.

Bio

Kwesi Botchway is a Ghanian artist interested in depicting compelling figurative portrait paintings from different generations. His points of focus are the Eyes, Nose and Mouth which is where our emotions are best portrayed. Botchway believes it helps us better visually experience one another’s feelings; an exchange of information without using words. Kwesi Botchway, is the Founder of worldfaze art studio.
